Don't see your tank in our library? This is where we build it anyway. Every custom aquarium lid is cut to your tank's exact internal dimensions from 3/8" optically clear polycarbonate. It's screened with mesh that keeps fish in and lets your light through, and it's made to order in the USA. Rimless, euro braced or plastic framed, old or new, we can build a lid for it.
How to size your lid
- Measure the internal dimensions of the top opening.
- Rimless tanks: measure inside the glass.
- Euro braced tanks: measure inside the brace.
- Plastic framed tanks with an internal lip: include the lip, since your lid frame rests on it.
- The longer side is your length. Round each measurement up to the next half foot and select those sizes above. We allow up to 2 inches of rounding, so if a measurement is within 2 inches over a size, choose that size. For example, a 37 1/2 inch length can be ordered as 3 ft.
- Enter your exact internal dimensions in the Add Customization Details box. We build to your numbers, not to the size you selected.
Choose your frame
ReeFlex and ReeFlex Air are modular, built from interlocking sections, so a side can be replaced later if your equipment changes. ReeFlex Air, our Goldilocks frame, adds venting. Classic, ReeFlex Fused and ReeFlex Fused Air are seamless frames machined from a single piece.
Modular frames need a lid at least 2 ft long and 13 inches wide. ReeFlex Fused and ReeFlex Fused Air need a lid at least 11 inches wide. Below those sizes, Classic is the frame we build.
One lid, two or three
Lids up to 4 ft come as a single lid, and you can split one into two with the lid quantity option. That helps when light rails straddle the tank. Lids over 4 ft come standard as a two lid set, and the same lid quantity option turns that into a three lid set.
Feed doors and cutouts
Add feed doors, cord slots, and cutouts for lights, filters, overflows or auto feeders with the options above. Then give us placement details in the Add Customization Details box. The cutout sizes listed are the maximum for each size, and every cutout is cut to fit your equipment. Overflows that sit within 1/4" of the top of the glass need a cutout.
Why polycarbonate
Polycarbonate does not bow or warp the way acrylic does. A mostly open mesh lets in more light than a glass aquarium lid.
CAD approval before cutting
We email a CAD file for your approval before any custom lid is cut. Your lid goes into production once you reply to approve it.
Corner, bowfront or hexagon?
Odd shapes are built to order too. Contact us with your measurements and a photo, and we'll write your order up.

The ClearView Classic - The crème de la crème of minimalist aquarium lid design! A sleek, seamless design that screams sophistication. Debuting with all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood premiere in 2016, this lid frame is a superstar in its own right. It's the epitome of elegance and each is tailor-made to your tank's specifications and unique needs. So go ahead, indulge in the luxury your finned friends deserve!

The ClearView ReeFlex & ReeFlex Air - The ReeFlex Series has officially flexed its way into the ClearView Lids lineup in 2024, after years in the design sandbox. Replacing our industry-first modular lid frames (the Tsunami circa 2017 and the Pisces EXO circa 2019), it's not just flexing by name; it's the flex-master of modularity! This ReeFlex duo rocks a new look that's sharper than an urchin's spine, a more robust interlock system tougher than a clamshell, and a flexible platform that's more adaptable than an octopus in a game of Twister...future proof— allowing for easy tweaks like a different light setup, extra feed doors, or adding a fancy new autofeeder—at a fraction of the cost of a full lid swap. THE Swiss Army knife of lids, ready to morph with your ever-changing aquarium dreams.
The ClearView ReeFlex Air - The ReeFlex Air takes the ReeFlex to new heights with its airy design and featherlight frame. Sporting ventilated cutouts around the frame that slash frame weight in half, keep condensation at bay, and further improves air/gas exchange (especially when used with our solid evaporation covers) elevates your lid game into the stratosphere!
------------------------------------------
The ClearView ReeFlex Fused & ReeFlex Fused Air - The ReeFlex Fused is like the ReeFlex's more sophisticated cousin. Instead of the modular, interlocking design of the ReeFlex and ReeFlex Air, you get a solid, non-modular frame that's custom machined from a single sheet of polycarbonate plastic. Sure, you lose some of the Swiss Army Knife flexibility that the modular frames offer, but in return, you get a seamless frame with uncompromisingly clean lines and the kind of strength that only a continuous frame can provide. It's like trading in your Swiss Army Knife for a fine Swiss Watch!

There are also many great features that are shared by all ClearView Lid styles. Some of them include:
- All lids are designed to nestle snugly inside the rim of your tank, giving you that signature ClearView look while ensuring your finned friends don’t go on an unexpected adventure.
- Our lids and lid accessories are made from clear polycarbonate plastic, also known as Lexan. This stuff is so tough, it’s used in bulletproof glass, riot shields, and jet windshields. Basically, it’s the superhero of plastics. We don’t mess with acrylic because it tends to bow and warp under pressure—like a bad first date.
- Every lid is customizable to fit feed doors, light mounts, overflows, and auto-feeding systems. However, only ReeFlex and ReeFlex Air lid frames can be customized in the future to accommodate changes in configuration. ReeFlex Fused, ReeFlex Fused Air, and Classic frames are non-modular and custom machined from a single piece of polycarbonate.
- Our lids are screened with a UV-protected 1/4” polypropylene plastic mesh, secured with spline under the frame to keep that sleek look and make it easy to replace the screen if needed.
- All lids are custom programmed, cut, screened, and shipped from our facility here in the USA. No outsourcing—just good old American craftsmanship from start to finish.
- Each lid is made to order, tailored to suit the needs of your tank and your preferred setup. Custom lids are available for all tanks, even those not listed on our product pages.
